They kept the Royals scoreless for the last three innings, thanks in big part to closer Luke Weaver, who struck out batters left and right. You could feel the energy shift when he got Bobby Witt Jr. with a nail-biting strike-three call that had fans on their feet!
In the end, the Yankees may not have played a flawless game, but they opened the playoffs with a victory, and sometimes that’s what really matters.
