Excitement Brews as Whataburger Opens in Columbia!

Excitement Brews as Whataburger Opens in Columbia!

Columbia, get ready! The long-awaited moment has finally arrived. Whataburger, the beloved Texas-based fast-food chain, is making its grand entrance in the heart of our city. This shiny new restaurant will open its doors on Monday at 202 Bridgeberry Lane, just off the Killian Road exit of I-77.

Meet the Team Behind the Thrill

Leading the charge at this location is operating partner Ashley Adams, who has a wealth of experience under her belt. With previous experience managing operations in Texas for Whataburger, plus stints at Walmart and Xerox, Adams is no stranger to the fast-paced world of food service. Under her leadership, 75 enthusiastic new employees are ready to serve the community and bring those famous Whataburger flavors to life.

Grand Opening Festivities Await

What’s a grand opening without some prizes and surprises? Starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, the first two guests in the drive-thru lane will be in for a treat—a year’s supply of free Whataburger! Can you imagine chowing down on your favorite burger without spending a dime for a whole year? That’s something to celebrate!

But wait, there’s more! The first customer to walk into the dining room will also snag this incredible offer. And if you’re among the first 100 customers, don’t be surprised if you walk away with some cool Whataburger swag. Who wouldn’t want some stylish gear from their new favorite fast-food joint?

A Treat for Our Heroes

In a touching gesture for our community heroes, veterans and active-duty military personnel are invited to enjoy a complimentary 16-ounce hot or iced coffee when they stop by inside. It’s a perfect way to say thank you for their service while they enjoy some delicious eats!

Expanding the Whataburger Family

This Columbia opening comes on the heels of another new location that recently opened in Irmo back in September. Since July, Whataburger has been making waves across the region, with new spots popping up in Greenville, Anderson, Boiling Springs, and Mauldin. And it seems Whataburger has no plans of slowing down—they’ll be opening another restaurant soon at 888 South Lake Drive in Lexington, further spreading the Whataburger love!

What’s Next for Whataburger?

As if that wasn’t enough, the company has exciting plans for even more locations in 2025. Get ready for a brand-new restaurant at 5648 Calhoun Memorial Parkway in Easley during spring and another at 1537 E. Main St. in Duncan during summer. It looks like South Carolina can expect to enjoy those iconic burgers for years to come!

Whataburger Fever is Hitting the Palmetto State

As locals, we can hardly contain our excitement for Whataburger as it sets up shop in Columbia. With its 24-hour service and a menu packed with juicy options like the classic Whataburger, Chicken Fajita Tacos, and those oh-so-delicious spicy ketchup packets, it’s bound to be a hit with residents and visitors alike.

So mark your calendars for Monday and get ready to experience the Whataburger magic firsthand. Whether you’re lining up for a year’s worth of free burgers or just stopping in for a coffee, there’s no doubt that Columbia is in for a treat. Welcome to the family, Whataburger!
