Hello, Columbia! As we head into the weekend, it looks like we’re in for some lovely weather. Thanks to a nice pocket of high pressure sitting over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, we’ll enjoy warm and mostly dry conditions throughout the weekend. If you’re hoping for some outdoor plans, you’re in luck! Temperatures this weekend are expected to hover around or slightly above normal.
For Saturday, you can look forward to a mix of high clouds early in the morning with a bit of clearing as the day progresses. There’s a front approaching from the north, but don’t worry, it won’t bring much moisture our way. In fact, most areas will remain dry with only a slight chance of an isolated shower. Expect our highs to reach the mid-80s, which should feel quite pleasant. As the sun sets, temperatures will drop down to the mid-60s, giving us a comfortable evening.
Then, on Sunday and into Monday, we’re still looking at dry and warm weather. Temperatures will continue to stick around the low to mid-80s, making it a great time to be outside. So if you have plans to hit the parks or enjoy a picnic, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of this lovely weather while it lasts!
However, brace yourselves because Monday night, we’ll start to see a change. A cold front will sweep through our area, bringing with it some cooler air. Fortunately, it looks like we won’t be getting any rain out of this front as it moves through.
As we roll into Tuesday, we’ll definitely notice a shift in our weather. Those cooler temperatures will start to settle in, and we’ll be greeted by some refreshingly drier air. If you’ve been feeling the heat and humidity, this might just be the welcome change you’ve been waiting for!
Throughout the rest of the workweek, Columbia can expect a wonderful break from the humidity. With the cooler and drier conditions arriving on Tuesday, it should make for some lovely weather to enjoy, whether you’re working or hanging out after hours. This is a great time to get out, take a walk, or just relax outside. After all, who doesn’t love a nice, crisp day?
For those who keep an eye on tropical developments, we bring good news! Currently, there are no significant concerns about any tropical activity threatening our area. Any potential systems in the Gulf are expected to stay well south of Columbia, so we can breathe easy on that front.
So, to wrap it up, Columbia, prepare to enjoy a warm and mostly dry weekend with temperatures in the mid-80s. As we look ahead to next week, gear up for a refreshing change with cooler and drier conditions starting Tuesday. It’s going to be a week that many will appreciate, after all!
Enjoy the weekend, and make the most of this beautiful weather!
