League of Women Voters of Columbia Area Rolls Out Online Election Resource

VOTE411.org to Provide Comprehensive and Nonpartisan Election Information

(Columbia, SC) – The League of Women Voters of the Columbia Area (LWVCA) has launched VOTE411.org, an extensive online election resource. VOTE411 is designed to serve as an all-in-one stop for election-related information.

The website allows users to register to vote, verify their voter registration, and discover the races and candidates appearing on their ballots. Along with furnishing candidate contact details, VOTE411 also provides candidate responses to topical questions about pertinent issues. The LWVCA provides these neutral questions to the candidates and publishes their responses without any edits.

Furthermore, VOTE411 offers up-to-date procedures for absentee voting, early voting schedules and regulations, as well as polling location information. According to David Smith, Interim President of LWVCA, “VOTE411 is recognized as the nation’s premiere nonpartisan online election resource. The LWVCA has published its voter guide on VOTE411 to serve voters throughout the Columbia area.”

2024 Statewide Primary Elections

The 2024 Statewide Primary Elections are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Voters have the choice to participate in either the Republican or the Democratic primary.

Vote411.org provides a personalized Voter Guide which includes all the candidates in the races on your ballot and other helpful information to help prepare for voting. You simply have to visit VOTE411.org and enter your residential address.

Early voting for the June 11, 2024, primaries will be conducted from May 28 to June 7. The voting booths will be open every day from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during the early voting period excluding weekends and state holidays.

Early Voting Locations

Early voting locations in the Richland and Lexington Counties have also been disclosed:

In Richland County, early voting can be carried out at locations including the Richland County Voter Registration & Election Office, the Ballentine Park, Garners Ferry Soccer Complex, University of South Carolina Blatt PE Center, North Spring Community Center, and the New Castle-Trenholm Acres Community Center.

As for Lexington County, the early voting centers include the Lexington Voter Registration Office, West Columbia Community Center, Midland Technical College – Irmo, Gaston Town Hall, Midlands Technical College- Batesburg/Leesville.
