West Columbia, SC – This November, community members are in for a treat as the Lexington Two Performing Arts Center gears up for a special event to honor veterans. On Monday, November 11, the center will host a free concert featuring the talented 282D Army Band from Fort Jackson. This is not just another concert; it’s a heartfelt celebration of our heroes who have served in the armed forces.
If you’re in the West Columbia, Springdale, or surrounding areas, this event is an excellent opportunity to spend time with loved ones while paying tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. but keep in mind that the doors will open at 5:15 p.m. So, grab your family, friends, and neighbors, and plan to arrive early to secure your spot! Seating is first-come, first-served, but don’t worry; there’s no need to snag tickets!
The evening will feature an exciting array of patriotic and celebratory music, providing a perfect backdrop for the community to come together. The concert is expected to last approximately one hour, giving everyone a delightful dose of uplifting tunes. Plus, talented Lexington Two students in JROTC and various musical ensembles will be on hand to help open the show, promising an impressive start to the evening.
Events like this serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. They are crucial to fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among residents. It’s a chance for everyone, especially those who have served or are currently serving in the military, to feel appreciated and recognized. The Lexington Two Performing Arts Center is dedicated to creating a supportive atmosphere for all.
Don’t forget the snacks! While you are soaking in the music and celebrating the service of our heroes, consider bringing along your favorite treats or a picnic to enjoy with family. Outdoor seating may also be available for those who prefer to enjoy the evening air and the company of their neighbors. Everyone is encouraged to bring along their folding chairs and blankets!
To make this celebration as inclusive as possible, feel free to share the word with others in the community! Whether you live in Boiling Springs, Gaston, Swansea, or even as far as Lake Murray, everyone is invited to join in this celebration of service, sacrifice, and the spirit of community.
