The University of South Carolina (USC) has ranked No. 1 for its International MBA program for the 11th consecutive year, showcasing its commitment to excellence in higher education. The Darla Moore School of Business continues to excel, emphasizing practical experience and cultural intelligence. Other graduate programs at USC, including engineering, education, and nursing, have also seen significant improvements in rankings, contributing to the local economy and shaping future leaders. As USC continues its fundraising efforts, it solidifies its position as an educational powerhouse in South Carolina.
For the 11th consecutive year, the University of South Carolina (USC) has outdone itself by securing the No. 1 spot for its International MBA program, as announced in the recently released 2025 Best Graduate School rankings. This accolade, released by a renowned education ranking body, showcases USC’s commitment to excellence in higher education.
The Darla Moore School of Business has truly set its mark, holding a top-three national position for a remarkable 36 years for its International MBA program. Students enrolled in this program benefit greatly from an emphasis on practical, real-world experience. With programs that encourage international exposure through in-country immersion experiences and an immersive global curriculum, students are equipped with not only theoretical knowledge but also the crucial skills needed to thrive in an interconnected world.
The provost of the Moore School has shared how the program hones both technical expertise and essential soft skills, which are particularly significant given the importance of adaptability in today’s job market. Graduates leave well-prepared to navigate business across borders, demonstrating not just proficiency in numbers but also cultural intelligence garnered from their time spent abroad.
But it’s not just the International MBA program that’s making waves at USC! The university has shown impressive advancements across a variety of graduate programs. For instance, the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing has climbed up the rankings by a notable 12 spots, now ranked No. 81 in engineering overall and No. 49 among public universities. It’s a great time to be part of this institution!
Not only that, but specific engineering fields are also seeing fantastic gains. The civil engineering program jumped 14 spots to seize the No. 73 rank, while the nuclear engineering program made a very respectable move up two spots to No. 21.
USC’s College of Education has made its own strides, moving up two spots to land at No. 27 among the best graduate education schools. It’s unprecedented that the college has improved by a whopping 60 spots over the last three years—what a turnaround! Meanwhile, the Joseph F. Rice School of Law saw an uptick as well, advancing three positions to now occupy the No. 63 spot nationally and No. 33 amongst public law schools, with its trial advocacy program being recognized in the top 15 nationally.
USC’s College of Nursing has also reason to celebrate, as its doctor of nursing practice program has risen six spots to reach No. 36, while its master’s program ranks 23rd nationally. Making this even sweeter, the online master’s program has proudly held the No. 1 slot for five consecutive years!
