New Upscale Steakhouse Set to Open in Downtown Lexington This January

New Upscale Steakhouse Coming to Downtown Lexington

Lexington is buzzing with excitement as a brand-new upscale steakhouse is set to open its doors in January! This charming town will welcome a trio of Midlands restaurateurs—Steve Cook, Joe Walker III, and Ryan Jones—who are determined to create a dining experience that’s both elegant and inviting. The new restaurant, which is yet to be named, will take over the space formerly occupied by Alodia’s at 101 W. Main St. As renovations are already in full swing thanks to Boyer Construction, the anticipation is building!

A Fresh Twist on a Classic

The vision these restaurateurs have is nothing short of spectacular. “Our vision is to create a modern take on the classic steakhouse—upscale yet approachable,” Cook shared in a statement. They are committed to crafting a space where guests can feel at ease as soon as they walk through the door. Every little detail, from a meticulously curated menu to an inviting interior design, is designed to make each visit a memorable experience.

Meet the Restaurateurs

If you’re familiar with the Midlands restaurant scene, you might already know Steve Cook. He’s the owner of some popular local spots, such as Saluda’s, a fine dining favorite in Five Points, and the charming Arroyo Mexican restaurant on Harden Street. Then, there’s Joe Walker III, who has quite the resume. A former Richland County Council member, Walker has owned various franchise restaurants, including Scooter’s Coffee and Marco’s Pizza. And we can’t forget Ryan Jones, a former general manager at Hall’s Chophouse in Columbia, who brings his expertise to the team.

What’s on the Menu?

Now, let’s talk about the exciting part—the food! The new steakhouse will feature hand-cut steaks, homemade pasta, and fresh seafood, all while offering a selection of seasonal dishes that are carefully curated. This is truly something to look forward to for food enthusiasts and those looking to indulge in a delightful dining experience.

A Thriving Downtown Scene

Downtown Lexington has already become a hot spot for food lovers, filled with an array of delightful eateries and cozy establishments. Local favorites include O’Hara’s Public House, Keg Cowboy, Bodhi Thai Dining, and many others, all creating a lively atmosphere. The vibrant area features not only great dining options but also stores like Craig Reagin Clothiers and The Kindred Boutique, making it a fantastic destination to shop and dine.

Listening to the Community

Walker emphasizes that this new steakhouse will nicely complement the lively downtown scene. “We’ve crafted a restaurant concept that’s truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re beyond excited to bring it to Lexington,” he remarked. The trio aims to restore the beautiful building and showcase its unique design, focusing on creating a dining experience that feels both inviting and elevated. They express a desire to be a part of Lexington’s thriving downtown and hope to offer a place for people to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories.

A New Chapter for a Beloved Space

Previously, Alodia’s Cucina Italiana graced this space and enjoyed years of patronage until it closed its doors in April. Now, as renovations are progressing, the community is eager to welcome this new restaurant and all the delicious experiences it promises.

The Countdown Begins

As they work towards their opening in January, many locals are already thinking about making reservations. This new steakhouse is not just about the food; it’s about bringing people together, creating moments, and being part of the beautiful fabric of downtown Lexington. Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to the grand opening!
