The search for a new City Manager for Tybee Island, that has spanned nearly a year, is reaching its final stages. The Tybee City Council is set to vote on the agreement terms with the chosen candidate, Bret Bell, as per information from the recent council meeting.

Sessions to Finalize Contract

Bret Bell, presently employed with the City of Savannah Public Affairs Office, has emerged as the select candidate. The terms of the agreement propose that Bell will commence his tenure from September 3rd and will receive a yearly salary of $165,000. The provision for merit-based increments on an annual basis is also included in the contract.

The council meeting to vote on Bell’s contract is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
