Columbia is buzzing with excitement as Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar prepares to open its doors in the BullStreet District this coming February! This popular restaurant chain has gained a reputation for its elevated Southern fare and mouth-watering dishes, and it’s finally making its way to the capital of South Carolina.
The new Tupelo Honey will be situated on the ground floor of the Bennet at BullStreet apartment development, conveniently located just west of the Segra Park baseball stadium. This prime spot in the BullStreet District is part of a wider redevelopment plan to transform the former State Mental Hospital area into a vibrant mixed-use community.
While an exact opening date hasn’t been set yet, more details will be provided as the big day approaches. So stay tuned as the countdown unfolds!
Open interviews will take place daily from January 2 through January 19, 2025, at Hilton Garden Inn, located at 1200 Pickens St. in Columbia. If you’re interested in working with Tupelo Honey, make sure to bring along two forms of ID and your resume, if you have one. Don’t worry if you can’t make it in person; you can also apply online at harri.com/thcolumbia.
Food lovers, get ready to indulge! The Columbia menu will feature a delightful array of Southern-inspired dishes perfect for brunch or dinner. Expect to see fluffy biscuits with blueberry jam, avocado toast, chicken and waffles, burgers, and, of course, an assortment of delicious cocktails.
For those who appreciate delicious food made with love, Tupelo Honey prides itself on using responsibly sourced ingredients in its made-from-scratch dishes. This commitment to quality is what has helped the restaurant chain thrive since its beginnings in Asheville, North Carolina, in the year 2000.
The BullStreet District is rapidly becoming a hotspot! Alongside the upcoming Tupelo Honey, the area is also home to the Columbia Fireflies baseball team, a Starbucks, an REI outdoor store, and Iron Hill Brewery. With a new fitness studio and a seafood restaurant chain also making their debut, BullStreet is shaping up to be an exciting destination for food and entertainment.
Adding to the excitement, the University of South Carolina has plans for a $300 million medical school campus in the district, promising to attract even more visitors to the area and create a dynamic community.
