Hey there, folks! We have some thrilling news to share right from our beautiful town of Cayce. The sun is shining bright today, and it’s a lovely day to celebrate some fantastic achievements in our community. The weather is just perfect—sunshine with a few afternoon clouds, reaching a high of 72°F, with light winds from the southwest at around 5 to 10 mph. It feels great to be outside, doesn’t it?
Now, let’s dive into the juicy bit of news! Tim James, who is not only the president and CEO of the Greater Cayce – West Columbia Chamber of Commerce but also a beloved figure in our community, has just been appointed to the Board of Directors for the South Carolina and North Carolina Chamber Executives. How exciting is that? Tim was chosen by his peers during the annual conference of the Carolina Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) held in the picturesque Blowing Rock, North Carolina, just last week. His dedication and hard work have certainly paid off!
You might remember that last October, Tim and the Chamber achieved the incredible honor of being named Chamber of the Year. That’s no small feat! Following this recognition, Tim was appointed for a one-year term, but it seems like his colleagues couldn’t wait to keep him around longer, as they’ve now elected him for a full three-year term. Talk about a vote of confidence!
In his own words, Tim reflected on this journey, saying, “Being involved over the last year with peer professionals from North and South Carolina has helped our CWC Chamber prosper in many ways. I feel our community gains much expertise through this involvement.” Isn’t it great to see someone so invested in our community’s success?
And he’s not alone in this adventure! Chamber Chair Lindsey Miles enthusiastically added, “Our Chamber Board unanimously voted to support Tim in the position of Board member with CACCE. We recognize the huge return on investment we receive because of his networking with executives from South Carolina and North Carolina, and we love watching him help mold the future for Chambers across both states.” It’s wonderful to see such teamwork and encouragement!
Oh, and here’s a little cherry on top! During the same conference, Tim passed along the prestigious title of Chamber of the Year to two deserving Chambers for 2025: York County and Hilton Head. This is a testament to Tim’s commitment to uplifting others in the community. He’s not just about personal achievements; he’s all about shining a light on the contributions of others as well!
As we enjoy today’s lovely weather, let’s not forget that we might have a few raindrops in our near future. The forecast suggests partly to mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a rain shower later on, so keep an umbrella handy just in case! Expect cooler temperatures tonight with a low around 55°F.
So, what do you think, Cayce? With Tim James at the helm and all these developments taking place, it’s a great time to be part of our community. Let’s continue to rally behind him as he embarks on this new chapter and represents us on the broader stage. Stay tuned for more updates, and here’s to sunny days ahead!
