BLUFFTON – The Culinary Institute of the South at Technical College of the Lowcountry (TCL) is hosting another Enrollment Expo for prospective students on Sept. 16 at the New River Campus. The event will offer information on scholarships, financial aid, and application assistance for interested individuals.
The faculty and staff of the institute will also be present at the expo to interact with students and answer questions. The institute plans its grand opening for November, while offering courses from October at its under-construction campus at Buckwalter Place.
Those interested to attend the expo may do so between 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, at the New River Campus located at 100 Community Drive in Bluffton. For more information or RSVP details, visit www.tcl.edu/exporsvp.
The Culinary Institute is a state-of-the-art 29,000 square-foot training facility that boasts six academic classrooms, two teaching kitchens, two baking labs, a lecture theater, and a teaching restaurant. The facility will soon add a FOODseum, an interactive museum showcasing the history of Southern food, in 2022.
Prospective students have the option to choose from three program areas – Baking & Pastry, Culinary and Hospitality, and either earn an associate’s degree or a certificate in these areas.
