Technical College of the Lowcountry to Host Enrollment Expo
Bluffton, SC – Prospective students hoping to attend the Culinary Institute of the South at Technical College of the Lowcountry have another opportunity to learn more about the college before enrolment. The institution will host an Enrollment Expo on Sept. 16 at TCL’s New River Campus in Bluffton.
Information and Assistance at the Expo
The Expo will give prospective students a chance to learn about the available scholarships, financial aid, and to receive application assistance. Faculty and staff will be present to answer any related questions.
Even though the Institute has its grand opening scheduled for November, enrolled students will start taking courses at the new campus from October onward. The campus, located at Buckwalter Place, is currently under construction.
Event Details
The Enrollment Expo will be held between 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 16, at the New River Campus, 100 Community Drive, in Bluffton. For further information or to RSVP, prospective students can visit the college’s website.
The Culinary Institute of the South at Technical College of the Lowcountry
The Culinary Institute at TCL is a 29,000 square-foot training facility. It boasts six academic classrooms, two teaching kitchens, two baking labs, a lecture theater, and a teaching restaurant.
Students have an option to choose from one of the three program areas – Baking & Pastry, Culinary and Hospitality. They can also elect to earn an associate’s degree or certificate in any of these areas.
In 2022, the Institute plans to open a ‘FOODseum’ on the campus. This interactive museum will highlight the story of Southern food.
