Tampa’s FSC Franchise Co., the parent company of family-friendly sports pub Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, is set to open 15 additional locations throughout South Carolina. The initiative marks a significant expansion of its current catalogue of 134 locations spread across 15 states.
Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, known for its diverse menu featuring items ranging from wings and salads to choice-cut sirloin and chopped Angus steak, has had an established presence in Columbia through its Hard Scrabble Road location. The upcoming expansion echoes the brand’s commitment to offer more South Carolina customers its unique dining experience complete with cocktails, wines, beer, sangria and a range of “gluten-friendly” items.
“Beef ‘O’ Brady’s does really well in suburban markets and in small towns, and there are a lot of those places in South Carolina,” CEO Chris Elliott shared via email. The company aims to establish the new franchise outlets in several locations including Oakland, Mulberry, Orangeburg, Summerville and Walterboro. These areas align with the brand’s typical customer base and profiles, which include Boomers, Gen X, Millennials and families.
According to South Carolina’s Census Bureau stats for 2010–2022, the most significant growth is seen in the 65-and-older segment, increasing from 13.7% to 19.1%. Furthermore, the younger age bracket, the under-4 segment, declined from 6.5% to 5.4% signaling a strategic fit for Beef ‘O’ Brady’s targeted demographics.
Since the opening of the first Beef ‘O’ Brady’s in Bradon, Florida, in 1985, the brand has gained a loyal consumer base. It is currently run by franchisee Casey Gladders. The company plans to stick to this business model, intending the projected South Carolina stores to be franchise-operated as well.
For the foreseeable future, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is looking to open approximately five locations per year. This aggressive expansion plan signals the businesses’ strong commitment towards growth in the region.
