Services Planned to Celebrate Devin’s Life

To pay tribute to Devin’s life, a visitation will take place on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel. This welcoming chapel is conveniently located at 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston, SC 29414. Friends, family members, and all who knew Devin are encouraged to attend, reminisce, and share their love and support during this difficult time.

A more formal service to commemorate Devin’s life will be held at a later date at Cox Funeral Home in Indiana, where his roots lay. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville, IN, a place that will allow his family to keep him close in spirit.

Devin was born in Sullivan, Indiana on July 16, 2001, to parents Jerad Rose and Nikki Miller Garwood. After completing his education at Shakamak High School, he took on a role with the State Highway Survey Crew at the South Carolina Department of Transportation. His commitment to his work and his zest for life endeared him to colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of work, Devin had a passion for playing Pokémon and Magic, both of which brought him immense joy. Additionally, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, embracing the thrill of the game and the tranquility it often provides. It was in these moments that Devin showcased the playful and lively spirit that many have come to love.

Family and Friends

Devin leaves behind a loving family, including his father, Jerad D. Rose, from Jasonville, and his mother, Nikki Miller Garwood with her husband, Jacob Garwood, from Camden, SC. His siblings include Ali Mae Lacer and her husband Rain Foster, Zavery Ruth Cody, Alexis Garwood, Sierra Garwood, and Layla Garwood, who will all miss their brother dearly. He is also remembered by his grandmothers, Lavonna Rose and Angel Cown, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will hold him in their hearts forever.
