Columbia, South Carolina Welcomes Back St. Pat’s in Five Points Festival!

Get ready, Columbia! The highly anticipated St. Pat’s in Five Points Festival is returning on Saturday, March 15, 2025, and it’s bigger than ever! Now in its 43rd year, this festive occasion promises to bring some serious fun to everyone who attends. Known as South Carolina’s largest one-day outdoor festival, last year’s event saw over 32,000 attendees from all over the region – a sure sign that this is the place to be for some St. Patrick’s Day cheer!

Start Your Day Off Right

As the sun rises, the excitement begins at 7:30 a.m. with the Get to the Green 5K/10K and 1-mile Family Fun Run. If you haven’t already signed up, registration closed on Friday, March 14. But don’t worry if running isn’t your thing; the day is just getting started!

The Grand Parade

The highlight of the festival is without a doubt the official St. Pat’s Parade, kicking off at 10 a.m.. Festival-goers are encouraged to pick their favorite viewing spots along Devine Street, between Sims Avenue and Harden Street, or along Harden Street to College Street. Bring your friends, your family, and your most festive gear to enjoy all the colorful floats and lively entertainment!

Meet the Grand Marshal

This year, attendees will have the honor of seeing A’Ja Wilson, a former Gamecock basketball star, Olympic gold medalist, and WNBA champion, as the Grand Marshal. What a perfect way to celebrate the spirit of South Carolina!

Don’t Forget Your Ticket!

Tickets for the festival can be snatched up online for $30 in advance or $35 on the day of the event. And for those looking to make the most of their experience, several premium packages are available. Just make sure to get them soon before they’re all gone!

Savor the Music

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., five stages around the festival will come alive with live music performances catering to all tastes! This is a fantastic opportunity to discover new artists and dance the day away with friends.

Parking and Transportation Options

If you’re wondering where to park, the festival has got you covered! Free satellite parking will be offered at the SC State Fairgrounds RV lot, opening at 6 a.m.. The COMET transit service will also provide free shuttles to and from the festival every 30 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Plus, if you prefer to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, pick-up and drop-off locations are conveniently located at Greene and Blossom streets.

Know the Rules

It’s important to remember that parking will be prohibited in certain neighborhoods surrounding the festival. For those with accessibility needs, ADA Accessible Parking is available on Blossom Street, but you will need proper identification to access this area. Also, the festival has implemented a clear bag policy. So, make sure to follow the guidelines regarding acceptable bag sizes to ensure a smooth entry!

Road Closures and Safety Measures

Attention, everyone! Road closures started on Friday, March 15, to prepare for the big day. Prepare to see disruptions on routes like Devine Street, which will be used for parade staging. Remember, all bags and pockets will be subject to a search upon entry for everyone’s safety!

With live music, festive parades, and a vibrant atmosphere, the St. Pat’s in Five Points Festival looks like it will be a thrilling experience for all who attend.
