Conveniently located just off of Interstate 95’s Exit 8, at 1458 Red Dam Road, the park is nestled amidst lush Lowcountry pines and Christmas fern, offering a plethora of natural beauty and explorations for all ages.
The park, sprawling across 321 acres, unfolds an inclusive variety of free activities ranging from biking and walking trails to birdwatching and picnicking. Apart from these self-guided outdoor activities, visitors can also engage in fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and can additionally reserve the community centers and other amenities inside the park, albeit, for a fee. The park warmly invites its guests to bring their own canoes to relish the tranquility of its numerous lakes.
Adding a dash of sporty allure to the mix, the park houses a 20-hole disc golf course. Enthusiasts can either rent equipment from the park or bring their own to try their hand at the game. The park recently hosted its largest-ever disc golf tournament, the Savannah Open Weekend Disc Golf Tournament, which saw over 300 participants.
Open from Monday to Sunday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sergeant Jasper Park offers ample time for visitors to enjoy its scenic vistas and rich biodiversity. Please note that the park is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. While many activities at the park are free, some like fishing, canoeing, and renting amenities incur fees. These collected proceeds go towards supporting various county projects and contribute to the ongoing growth of Jasper County.
