RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. – The Richland Library Friends and Foundation announced their plans to host a Summer Book Sale for 2024. The community will be afforded the opportunity to peruse around 30,000 gently-used items, with selections including books, CDs, and DVDs. Library officials have confirmed the pricing for these second-hand goods, stating paperbacks will start at $1, while hardbacks will start at $2.
The book sale will take place at the Operations Center of the Richland Library located at 130 Lancewood Road.
Two distinct sale dates have been outlined – a private sale on July 26 at 3 PM, followed by a public sale on July 27 at 10 AM. To attend the private sale, library patrons are required to make a yearly donation of at least $25 to the Richland Library Friends and Foundation. Donations can be completed either online or directly at the door during the event.
Individuals who wish to contribute gently-used items for future book sales are advised to follow the relevant procedures and guidelines available online.
