Richland County residents were shaken when a shooting broke out at the Room Service nightclub on Two Notch Road late Sunday night. The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on January 19, leading to a swift response from local law enforcement.
According to reports, deputies were alerted to the scene with reports indicating that not only were there shots fired, but a fight was also in progress inside the club. As the chaos unfolded, deputies immediately sprang into action, scouring the area for a vehicle that had made a hasty getaway.
Once the vehicle was located, deputies engaged in a brief pursuit that lasted about a mile. It was a tense moment as officers worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control. When the vehicle finally came to a stop, officers found a troubling scene: three of the four occupants inside had suffered gunshot wounds.
The injured individuals were quickly transported to a local hospital. Thankfully, their wounds have been reported as non-life-threatening, which is a small relief given the circumstances. However, the shocking nature of the incident left many in the community reeling.
While the pursuit and subsequent hospital visit were unfolding, deputies at the scene arrested two men. Marcus Brown, 34, and Christopher Fair-Dixon, 30, were taken into custody for their involvement in the incident. Both men now face charges of breach of peace aggravated in nature. They were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center as the investigation continued.
