Savannah Rapper, Quando Rondo, Pleads Guilty in Federal Drug Case
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Noted Savannah rapper, Quando Rondo, has issued a public statement amidst his brewing legal difficulties. On Tuesday, the rapper pleaded guilty to a federal drug conspiracy charge in court. The prosecution alleged that the conspiracy was associated with the acquisition and distribution of large quantities of marijuana, weighing several kilograms.
Under a plea agreement conducted with federal authorities, Rondo, originally named Tyquian Bowman, openly admitted his guilt in deliberately participating in a scheme to procure and dispense over a dozen kilograms of marijuana. Bowman subsequently pleaded guilty to a lesser incrimination of the singular federal count he confronted: Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute.
Statement On Guilt Plea
A federal judge ratified the plea during a federal court proceeding on Tuesday morning. Certain jewelry items, confiscated during the probe, will be restored to Bowman. He will have permission to stay out on bond till the date of his decree.
A repentant Bowman conveyed his expression of regret to WTOC in the hours following his change of plea to guilt. He stated, “I really want to give an apology to the City of Savannah. I want to give an apology to my family, friends, and loved ones, and most importantly to my daughters, for dragging all my family and all my loved ones through this stressful point.”
Upcoming Sentencing
Bowman’s federal sentencing has been scheduled for December 12th. He faces a potential penalty of up to five years imprisonment.
