Pushing for the Podium
The Lions had quite an exciting ride throughout the tournament. Starting off in a tight tie for sixth place, they kicked things into high gear and managed to pull ahead to finish fifth, just one stroke better than Mercer. The final day saw the team put up a commendable score of one-under par, bringing their total to 564, which translates to a fantastic 13-under for the tournament.
Leading the charge was St. John’s, who dominated the competition with a finishing score of 841, clocking in at an impressive 23-under par.

Among the standout performers on the Lions’ roster was junior Xing Luo, who capped off an incredible tournament tied for fifth place with a score of 209, which is seven-under par. Luo dazzled everyone with a final round score of three-under and an average score of 2.80 on par-3s.
Senior Chase Kaiser stepped up and delivered a memorable performance, finishing tied for eighth with an overall score of 210. This marked his best showing yet in a Lions uniform, with rounds of 70, 69, and 71.
Junior Blake Henriques also made a mark by finishing tied for 15th with an overall score of 213, representing his highest finish as a Lion. Meanwhile, sophomore Andrew Ferworn made a fantastic leap up the leaderboard, moving up an impressive 20 spots in the final round to finish with a score of 221. Junior Sebastian Bengtsson rounded out the team’s performance with a total score of 229.
