Parkland Plaza, a shopping center located in Lexington, is set to welcome two new tenants. The local retail complex is leasing its outparcel building to Oak Street Health, a primary health care provider catering to older adults, and retail store Five Below.
Oak Street Health, a subsidiary of CVS Health founded in 2012, operates over 200 locations nationwide. In Parkland Plaza, Oak Street Health will present a cutting-edge clinic on the State Street side of the plaza, as indicated in a recent press release.
Rox Pollard, Vice President and Director of Retail Services Team at Colliers, stated, “Oak Street Health will add to the plaza’s existing health and wellness tenants and provide a great service to the entire downtown Columbia, Cayce, and West Columbia area.”
Current tenants of Parkland Plaza include Food Lion, ACE Hardware, Planet Fitness, Capital Climbing, Beall’s, and East Bay Deli. The new Oak Street Health facility will be situated across from the Bank of America building.
The popular retail chain Five Below is expected to lease the plaza’s shopping strip this fall. Its location will be adjacent to East Bay Deli, in the space previously occupied by Jewelry Warehouse.
Parkland Plaza is a 174,833-square-foot shopping center in close proximity to the University of South Carolina (USC) campus, Columbia’s Central Business District, USC’s baseball stadium, and riverfront developments. The plaza, which has recently undergone a contemporary makeover, boasts a daily traffic flow of about 28,000 vehicles on Knox Abbott Drive and approximately 8,100 vehicles on State Street. Its strategic location near Columbia’s downtown district ensures high visibility for all its tenants.
