Hey there, Lexington! Big news is on the horizon for convenience store lovers and anyone who drives along the busy roads in our lovely town. Circle K, one of the most well-known convenience store brands across the U.S., has plans for a brand new location! That’s right, if you’re a fan of their wide variety of snacks, coffee, and car care products, you might soon have a new spot to grab all your favorites.
The new Circle K is expected to be located at the northeast corner of Augusta Highway and Wise Ferry Road. This area is really bustling, with heavy traffic and lots of nearby amenities. Did you know that around 24,000 cars navigate this stretch of road every single day? It’s no wonder Circle K is looking to set up shop here!
For those who might not know, Circle K has a rich history dating back to 1951 when it first opened its doors in Texas. Over the years, it has expanded remarkably, and today there are nearly 7,000 Circle K stores across the United States, not to mention their international locations in places like Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. From fuel stations to fresh coffee, it’s a real go-to for folks just like you!
According to the Lexington County Planning Commission, this project is now officially on their radar. It was included in their September agenda, and a recent update showed that the store has even submitted its stormwater management fees. But hold your horses! Frank Cason, the CEO of Cason Development Group, which owns the property, has mentioned that this project is only in its “very early stages.” Construction probably won’t kick off until 2025, so we may be waiting a bit before we can walk through those doors.
This new Circle K isn’t just a place to grab quick snacks and drinks; it’s set to become a community hub in the Lexington area. It will be just about a mile east of Lexington High School and surrounded by a mix of restaurants, doctor’s offices, and cozy neighborhoods. An establishment like Circle K can really enliven the area, providing a convenient stop for families, students, and busy commuters.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the only Circle K popping up around here. In fact, there’s another one currently being constructed at 1512 North Lake Drive. Clearly, Circle K is looking to strengthen its presence in Lexington County, and that can only mean more options for the community.
Once it opens, you can look forward to all the classic Circle K offerings – think fresh coffee to kickstart your morning, cold soda to quench your thirst, delicious snacks to munch on, and all those little car care essentials. It’s a one-stop shop that fits right into the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
As we eagerly await the arrival of Circle K along Augusta Highway, it’s a great time to reflect on how convenient stores like this enrich our community. They create jobs, provide essential services, and give us all a little extra convenience in our busy lives. Keep your eyes peeled for updates as this project unfolds!
So, Lexington, what do you think about this upcoming addition to our neighborhood? Are you excited to see Circle K become a part of our community? Stay tuned for more information as we follow this project every step of the way!
