ASCOT RIDGE

Ascot Subdivision in Irmo, SC is a well established luxury home neighborhood located off Kinnerly Road. It is about 16 miles from Columbia, South Carolina’s capital. The subdivision is divided into the neighborhoods of Ascot Ridge, Ascot Place, Ascot Courtyards, Ascot Downs, Ascot Glen, and Ascot Estates.

Homes are typically on very large lots, made of stucco or brick, and can range in size from 3000 square feet to 6500 square feet. These beautiful homes were built with attention to architectural design and detail. Some homes even have front yard lawn maintenance provided and a private backyard courtyard. Ascot has been named year in and year out as one of the Best Neighborhoods in Columbia by the Columbia Metropolitan Magazine.

Courtyards at Ascot Ridge is fifteen minutes from Irmo when taking Woodrow Street. The neighborhood is near Interstate 26, the shops on Harbison Boulevard and is only fifteen miles from Columbia.

The Chelsea Park neighborhood does have a Homeowner Association. The last checked HOA dues are $460 and are due annually. The HOA manages the community’s sidewalks, streetlights, playground, and pool.

The homes here come in a variety of styles, including ranch, 2 story traditional, and main floor owner suite. Most of the homes have partial brick and stone fronts, feature 3 to 6 bedrooms and range in size from 1,600 square feet to 4,600 square feet. Many of the homes in Chelsea Park feature porches, and large decks that overlook the beautifully landscaped, wooded yards. Plus, every home in Chelsea Park is Energy Star Certified, which can save you a ton on energy bills!

NEW FRIARSGATE

Most of the homes in New Friarsgate, the extension of Old Friarsgate, were built from the late 70’s to the early 80’s. This neighborhood was one of Mungo Home’s first planned developments, where he aimed to build homes affordable to the common, working class individual. New Friarsgate is located in the cozy town of Irmo and is just minutes from I-26, Lake Murray, and Harbison. Harbison contains the largest mall in the greater Columbia area, as well as entertainment and a plethora of dining options.  

Many residents of New Friarsgate have lived in the area for years. Children living in New Friarsgate are zoned for the award-winning Irmo/Richland 5 school district, making this neighborhood good for new and growing families. The town of Irmo also has many parks that are well kept and used, allowing for a beautiful family environment.

Chestnut Hill Plantation is a subdivision of Irmo County located in Irmo, SC off Longcreek Drive. Over 600 families live in the subdivision currently.Residents of Chestnut Hill Plantation can enjoy great amenities to compliment the modern suburban lifestyle that is found here. There is a Junior Olympic sized pool, 4 tennis courts, a clubhouse with a large playground outside, and numerous ponds for fishing.  Joggers and walkers can utilize the sidewalks that meander throughout the area and lighted nature trails along the Broad River.

Often considered “The gateway to Lake Murray”, Irmo is a recreational paradise to residents.  There are endless possibilities of activities residents can enjoy on the Lake Murray, including hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, hiking, and such much more. A variety of shopping is available, ranging from small town shops to nationally recognized chains.

Courtyards at Rolling Creek is an upscale patio/garden home community located in Irmo SC.  This neighorhood has a great location, only minutes to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment located on Harbison Blvd. and 20 minutes to downtown Columbia.  Convenient access to interstate I-26 make traveling easy and Columbia SC airport is only 25 minutes away.  Lake Murray is only about 5-10 minutes away and offers lots of on the water recreation for Irmo SC residents.  Courtyards at Rolling Creek features nature and hiking trails, recreational areas, and a pool and cabana.  This neighborhood is currently zoned for Irmo/Richland District 5 schools.
