COLUMBIA, S.C. – Richland County Sheriff’s Department is on an active search for a teenage girl who disappeared on Sunday. As described in a department news release, Zaniyah Bowman was last seen on the 300 block of Saluda River Road in Columbia.
In a concerning development, deputies have indicated that Bowman was believed to be communicating with an adult man before she reportedly ran away from her home.
The department provided a description of the missing teen; she was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt teamed with black pajama bottoms. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail.
