In recent real estate developments, Midlands-based Birch Home Builders has secured a lease for an office space in Irmo, a developing commercial hub in South Carolina. The 1,547-square-foot office building, located at 7436 Broad River Road, was represented by Colliers South Carolina’s Mary Winter Teaster on behalf of property owner, RB Todd Properties.
Birch Home Builders, initially founded in 2020, is a locally owned and operated custom home building organisation. The company has distinctively blended the efficient processes associated with track home building, with the elevated quality finishes of a custom home builder.
The leasing agreement comes after RB Todd Properties’ acquisition of the office building earlier in the year, with Mary Winter Teaster acting as the leading representative for the property owner throughout the process. According to released statements, the leasing process was meticulously handled to attract a broad spectrum of professional tenants, with Birch Home Builders emerging as the ideal fit for the property.
Mary Winter Teaster, a senior brokerage associate with Colliers South Carolina, specialises in supporting local small businesses, women-owned businesses, and non-profits throughout the Midlands region of South Carolina. She has a particular focus on Richland and Lexington counties.
Suitable tenants had faced certain restrictions set by the Property Owner’s Association, which limited prospects for the building. However, given Birch Home Builders’ operations, the location, and the features of the building, the property posed as a perfect match for the Midlands homebuilder.
This lease agreement comes amidst a wave of development opportunities and advancements in the region, further reinforcing Irmo’s status as an emerging commercial hub in South Carolina.
This move by Birch Home Builders signals the company’s intent to grow within the region, providing a testament to the growth potential and attraction of local business accomodation in the area.
