Get ready, folks! The friendly town of Irmo is gearing up for one of its most delightful events of the year. On Wednesday, October 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., the annual Merchant Treat Trail is set to light up the Irmo Village Shopping Center, located at 7571 Saint Andrews Road. This festive occasion, hosted by Saint Michael Lutheran Church in partnership with Craft & Draft Irmo, invites everyone to come out in costumes and enjoy an evening filled with fun, treats, and community spirit!
As the skies darken and the Halloween spirit begins to fill the air, families will be delighted by the scene at the shopping center. Costumed volunteers will be on-site to help merchants distribute treats and prizes, ensuring that every child who attends leaves with something sweet—or even a bit magical!
Speaking of magic, prepare to meet a fortune teller who will be adding an extra dash of enchantment to the festivities. Curious about your future? This could be a fun opportunity to find out what the stars have in store for you!
The community spirit won’t just stop at delicious treats and spooky fun! The event will also feature representatives from the Irmo Fire District and Irmo Police Department, ensuring that everyone stays safe while enjoying the festivities. Plus, there will be child safety seat checks available—just a great reminder of how important our little ones’ safety is!
One of the best parts about the Merchant Treat Trail is that various local businesses will be involved, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Participating shops include Southern Strutt Dance, Legacy Martial Arts, Carolina Tan Factory, RAMCO Framing, Craft & Draft, Drayer Physical Therapy, 360 Security Products, JoLinn’s, The Upper Cut, Kathy’s Kreations, Burn Boot Camp, and Outspokin Bicycles.
Many of these businesses are likely to stay open later that evening, offering enticing specials—the perfect opportunity to support our local economy while enjoying a festive evening out!
Don’t forget—costumes are highly encouraged! Whether you’re sporting a superhero outfit, a classic ghost, or even a wacky pumpkin suit, come dressed to impress. It’s all about celebrating the spirit of Halloween and having a fabulous time among friends and neighbors!
The best part of this exciting event? It’s completely free! That’s right—everyone is welcome to join in on the fun without any costs. It’s all about community and making memories, so don’t miss out on this special evening.
If you have any questions or would like additional details about the Merchant Treat Trail, feel free to reach out to the church office at 803-781-0229 or shoot them an email at stmichael1816@gmail.com. They’re happy to help!
So gather your family and friends and mark your calendars for October 30! Let’s make the Merchant Treat Trail a night to remember in Irmo!
