The Meeting Street Music Fest is Back in West Columbia!

West Columbia is buzzing with excitement as the 2nd Annual Meeting Street Music Festival approaches this weekend! Set to take place on September 6th and 7th, this festival promises two jam-packed days of fantastic music, great food, and tons of fun activities for the whole family.

Getting Started: What to Expect

The festivities kick off on Friday at 6 p.m. in the beautiful West Columbia Amphitheater, located at 109 Alexander Road. You can expect an evening filled with live music, food trucks, and beverages available for purchase. Sounds like a great start, right?

Friday Night Lineup:

  • Nu-Blu: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Warm-Up Stage
  • The Gaspumpers: 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Savage Craft Ale Works Stage
  • Jamie Wright and Rod Foster & Company: 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Chayz Lounge Stage
  • Backline: 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor

If you’re worried about parking, don’t fret! There are plenty of options around. The Capitol Square and the Interactive Art Park are great spots. Just remember to grab a good spot early, as these places tend to fill up fast!

  • Who’s Bad: 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. (The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band)
  • War: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. (Headliner)
  • Mustache Brothers: 3:15 – 4:40 p.m. on the Sunset Stage
  • The Surefires: 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Savage Craft Ale Works Stage

Whether you’re a fan of rock, country, or rhythm and blues, this year’s lineup covers a wide array of musical tastes, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Unique Attractions and Extras

Alongside all the incredible music, the festival has loads more in store. Check out the Meeting Street Artisan Market, filled with local crafts and goodies. And families with kids can take a break in the Whetzel’s Pet Zone, where your furry friends are welcome too!

Feel like gaming? The Scratch ‘n Spin’s retro gaming area will take you back to the golden days of arcade fun! There’ll also be multiple dance lessons hosted by Bill’s Pickin’ Parlor if you feel like shaking a leg.

Preparation and Arrival

For a smooth experience, there are a few essentials you might want to pack: folding chairs, blankets, identification, cash, cards, sunscreen, and maybe a hat for that lovely afternoon sun. After all, safety and comfort are key!
