Mandy Parsons Named New President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry recently welcomed Mandy Parsons as their new President and Chief Executive Officer. Parsons brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit management to her role, having previously served as interim CEO, acting COO, and acting CFO at United Way of the Coastal Empire.
Track Record of Successful Leadership
During her tenure at United Way of Coastal Empire, Parsons led strategic planning initiatives, optimized operational processes, and diversified revenue streams, significantly improving the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. She has been credited for her collaborative approach and strong relationship-building skills, which have helped in aligning organizational missions with community expectations and enhancing organizational reputation.
Prior to United Way, Parsons held senior roles at the American Cancer Society in Savannah and worked in development for a private school in Kentucky. In each of these positions, she demonstrated a keen ability to drive organizational growth, enhance cultures, and carry out transformative changes.
Strengthening the Future of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry
Mollie Sandman, Vice President of the Lowcountry Board of Directors, expressed excitement over Parsons’s appointment. She highlighted Parsons’s extensive experience and passion for the organization and expressed confidence in her ability to expand the club’s reach.
In response to her appointment, Parsons shared her vision for the Boys & Girls Club of the Lowcountry, which includes serving more children in need and creating a more sustainable, cohesive organization.
Personal Interests and Community Involvement
Outside of her professional life, Parsons is an active community member. Her recent activities include joining the board of the Savannah Book Festival, a position that aligns perfectly with her passion for reading. She also enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, watching Kentucky basketball, and spending time in her yard with her dog.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry, which received its national charter from the Boys and Girls Club of America in 1986, operates in 10 locations across Beaufort and Jasper counties.
