Mandy Parsons Named as New CEO and President of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry has welcomed Mandy Parsons as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. With two decades of hands-on experience with non-profits, Parsons has a proven track record of driving organizational growth and enhancing cultures. Her appointment to the new role was announced on August 16, 2024.
Parsons’ Rich Career Background
Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry, Parsons held several key leadership positions at United Way of the Coastal Empire. From acting as the Interim CEO, to being the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Parsons played a major role in improving the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. She spearheaded strategic planning initiatives, streamlined operational processes, and diversified revenue streams.
Before her tenure at United Way of Coastal Empire, Parsons served as a Senior Manager and Area Director for the American Cancer Society in Savannah and contributed significantly to the development of a private school in Kentucky.
Future Plans for the Boys & Girls Club
In her new role, Mandy aims to unearth the potential of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry by serving more children in need and fostering a more sustainable and cohesive organization across Lowcountry. Mandy’s community-focused vision, backed by her extensive experience, is expected to drive meaningful change and substantial growth in the organization.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry’s Mission
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry is dedicated to enabling all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The club was initially chartered from the Boys and Girls Club of America back in 1986. Today, it operates in 10 locations across the Lowcountry, including Beaufort and Jasper counties, serving over 1,200 young people.

Mandy’s Personal Interests
Outside of her professional duties, Mandy is an active community member and volunteer who recently joined the Savannah Book Festival board, corresponding with her love for reading. Other personal interests include spending time at the beach with her family, watching Kentucky basketball, and spending outdoor time with her dog.
