Get Ready to Shine at the Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony in Greater Cayce West Columbia!

Hey there, Greater Cayce West Columbia! Are you feeling that chill in the air? It’s not just the crisp autumn breeze—it’s almost time to kick off the holiday season! And what better way to do that than with a dazzling Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 25, at 5:00 PM? Mark your calendars and grab your family and friends because it’s going to be a spectacular evening under the stars!

Celebrating Community and Small Businesses

Hosted by the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce alongside Lexington Medical Center, this annual tradition is all about spreading joy while uplifting our community. Hallie Campbell, the sponsorship coordinator of Greater CWC, said it perfectly: “This ceremony began as a reflection of the Greater CWC Chamber’s commitment to supporting small businesses.” What a lovely sentiment! She added that they wanted to create a celebration that respects the importance of shopping local—something we can all get behind, especially as the holiday season is upon us.

So what’s going to happen at this fun-filled event? Well, right at 5 PM, members from the Lexington Medical Center will take to the stage and ceremoniously Flip the Switch to light up the Greater CWC Chamber Office. First, the building will glow a beautiful green to honor LMC, and then it will burst into a spectrum of vibrant holiday colors! Trust us, you won’t want to miss this magical moment!

Inspiring Words and Vibrant Performances

Not only will there be a light show to remember, but our esteemed Mayor, Tem Miles, will grace us with his presence as he shares an inspiring message. He’ll be touching on the importance of community support, the value of our local businesses, and the true spirit of the season. It’s these messages that remind us just how special our tight-knit community is.

But that’s not all! Prepare your ears for some sweet sounds, as the Cyril B. Busbee Creative Arts Academy Choir and the Airport High School Choir will serenade us with holiday classics. It’s the perfect way to embrace the festive spirit while enjoying the immense talent of local students. So bring your singing voices and maybe even a few dance moves!

A Family-Friendly Affair!

The best part? This awesome event is completely free and family-friendly. Whether you’re young or just young at heart, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Get ready to mingle with your neighbors, make new friends, and bask in the warmth of community camaraderie. Who knows, you might even connect with a few local business owners and find some unique gifts for your holiday shopping!

The Perfect Weather for a Night Out

And here’s a cherry on top—on top of all the festive cheer, the weather is looking fantastic! With temperatures hitting a pleasant high of 68°F, it’s the perfect evening to enjoy being outdoors with your loved ones. Breezy winds from the south-southwest will keep the air fresh, and you’ll be cozy and comfortable while soaking up the holiday vibe.

Join Us in Kicking Off the Season!

The Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony is not just an event—it’s a celebration of who we are as a community.
