Columbia is buzzing with excitement as a fresh new activity spot opens its doors! This past weekend, Lexington Paintball held its soft opening and welcomed thrill-seekers of all ages to experience the fun of paintball. The new venue is tucked away at 1789 Two Notch Rd., providing a vibrant and energetic atmosphere where families, friends, and coworkers can come together to enjoy a little friendly competition.
Owner Eli Lykes, a retired Army veteran and lifelong resident of Columbia, has a vision rooted in community enjoyment and engagement. “The aim was to create something special for the community,” Lykes shared enthusiastically. “We want everyone—families, kids, and business organizations—to feel welcome. This is for all ages!”
Lexington Paintball operates daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. However, during the weekdays, it’s a reservations-only experience, which allows for a tailored and organized playtime. On weekends, the paintball fields are available for both individual players and groups looking to dive into the action together.
Currently, the venue features approximately 2.5 acres of the 15-acre property, equipped with two operational paintball fields. Each field is designed to accommodate 50-60 players at once. Lykes mentioned that as the popularity grows, there are plans to expand and possibly create another field nestled in the property’s wooded area.
If you’re a newcomer to the paintball scene and don’t have your own gear, fear not! Lykes assures that players can easily rent all necessary equipment on-site. From paintball markers to protective gear, everything is available for a seamless playing experience. Plus, for those with a thirst for energy, there’s additional merchandise and tasty refreshments to keep everyone fueled up!
Players can choose from a variety of play packages that cater to different preferences and play styles. Moreover, groups looking for a unique outdoor team-building experience can benefit from special group pricing, making it a fantastic option for businesses and organizations. To find all the details regarding packages, simply check out LexingtonPaintball.com. It’s all straightforward and just a few clicks away!
Even though the paintball facility has only been operational for a week, Lykes is thrilled with the feedback received from visitors. “It’s been a fantastic response! Seeing people smile as they book their reservations warms my heart,” he remarked, clearly beaming with pride. “We’ve poured our hearts into this for the past six-to-eight months. It’s rewarding to finally see it come to life.”
