The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has issued a public plea for assistance in locating a missing and endangered man from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Stanley Kapowski, a 60-year-old resident, was last spotted around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 16.
Kapowski was reportedly seen leaving 226 South Sea Pines Drive on the given date. A physical description of the man states that he is approximately six feet tall, weighs around 200 pounds, and has short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a Coors Light t-shirt, blue shorts, and no shoes.
The BCSO is urging anyone who might have any information about Kapowski’s present location to reach out to them. The non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777 has been designated for tips related to this case.
Authorities have not released further information about the circumstances surrounding Kapowski’s disappearance. They continue their search efforts, hopeful that public participation will help expedite the process of locating the missing man.
