Chapin is buzzing with excitement as Aquarius Spa & Salon prepares to kick off a brand-new chapter in its story. After nearly 20 years of nurturing beauty and wellness in the community, the beloved spa and salon is set to host a grand opening for its recently constructed facility this coming Saturday, December 7, starting at 5:30 p.m. at 113 Virginia St. The festivities will include a much-anticipated ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a delightful holiday open house from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring delectable food, refreshing drinks, and lively music!
Marie Keeton, the heart and soul behind Aquarius, opened the spa in 2005 from a cozy, 1,000-square-foot farmhouse on Chapin’s quaint Columbia Avenue. Over time, the business flourished and found a home in the historic Robinson-Hiller House, where it prospered for more than 17 years. But the pull for something bigger and better led to the exciting move just next door into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility.
The new Aquarius Spa & Salon spans a sprawling 5,300 square feet and doubles the existing treatment rooms and salon space. It also introduces a trendy new head spa and a peaceful “serenity” room designed for guests to unwind and soak in the luxurious atmosphere between pampering sessions. “It’s been great—we finally have the space we need,” Marie shared with a smile. “We wanted to maintain the charm that our previous location had while accommodating our growing clientele.”
What can visitors expect at the new Aquarius? An extensive range of services awaits, including hair treatments, manicures, pedicures, soothing massages, revitalizing facials, and so much more! What’s more, in collaboration with About Face Aesthetics & Wellness, they also offer popular med spa services like Botox, fillers, weight loss programs, and hormone replacement therapy. You can leave the stress behind and let the skilled staff pamper you!
You won’t want to miss the retail area at the new spa, either. With an enticing selection of creams, lotions, cosmetics, and even some chic clothing and handbags, there’s something to take home for everyone! “We aim to provide our clients with the products we use during their treatments, so they can continue their spa experience at home,” Marie said enthusiastically. “Plus, we’ve branched out into accessories and more!”
The trajectory of Aquarius Spa & Salon mirrors the growth of the town of Chapin itself. Once a humble community of just 347 residents in 1990, Chapin has blossomed to nearly 2,000 residents today— and that’s not counting those living in the surrounding unincorporated areas. Marie reflected, “Chapin has changed so much over the years, but I’m proud that it still holds onto that small-town feel.” It’s a story of evolution that inspires and engages locals.
Chad Lindler, president of Chapin Commercial Construction, expressed his happiness over contributing to this growth. “It’s incredibly rewarding to construct a beautiful new building for Aquarius Spa & Salon to expand its services right here in our hometown,” he said. “It shows how local businesses can flourish while preserving the warmth and charm of the community.”
If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, make sure to swing by Aquarius Spa & Salon for their grand opening celebration! Marie invites everyone to RSVP via their Facebook page, ensuring a warm welcome for guests eager to explore the new space and enjoy a bit of holiday cheer.
So, grab your family and friends, come experience the joy of relaxation, and be part of this exciting milestone for Chapin and Aquarius Spa & Salon. Cheers to new beginnings!
