Lexington is about to make a splash with the upcoming arrival of Goldfish Swim School at the Lexington Towne Centre! That’s right—this popular swim school chain is planning to dive into a brand-new location at 932 N. Lake Drive, right near Sunset Boulevard. It seems like families looking to make swimming a fun and safe part of their young ones’ lives are in for a treat!
If you’ve driven by recently, you may have noticed that there’s a building permit displayed in the window of what used to be a Tuesday Morning store. The buzz around town confirms that Goldfish Swim School is indeed “coming soon.” In the latest updates from the town of Lexington’s planning and zoning documents, the space has officially been designated as “under construction.” While the exact opening date is still a mystery, anticipation is already building!
Founded back in 2006 in Michigan, Goldfish Swim School has made quite a name for itself, expanding to over 150 locations across the United States. Their focus? Providing top-notch, fun learn-to-swim lessons for children. They cater to little swimmers as young as 4 months up to the age of 12 years. It’s all about creating a safe, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting environment for infants and kids to become seasoned swimmers.
This Lexington spot will be the very first Goldfish facility to open in the Midlands area. The only other South Carolina location listed on the Goldfish Swim School website is on Haywood Road in Greenville, so Lexington families will soon have a wonderful local option for swimming lessons. The Lexington Towne Centre is already home to a number of well-loved businesses, including Food Lion, Books-A-Million, Hibbett Sports, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Jimmy John’s, and Hotworx, amongst others. That means there will be plenty of exposure for Goldfish Swim School once they are open for business!
Even more exciting, Goldfish Swim School will be located right next door to the recently opened Big Air trampoline park. This means that parents can easily make a trip to both places—a fun-filled day of bouncing and swimming sounds like the perfect plan for a Saturday!
