Godspeed: A New Specialty Coffee Pop-Up Shop Opens in Columbia

Columbia is witnessing a unique blend of the coffee and vinyl records culture with the debut of Godspeed, a new coffee pop-up. This innovative venture has been conceived and brought to life by coffee connoisseurs, Roger Caughman and Kailey Cunningham.

Unveiling at a Former Iconic Location

The pop-up shop launched its operations yesterday at 727 Saluda St. in Five Points, a notable site previously occupied by Starbucks. The pop-up also features a collaboration with Papa Jazz Record Shoppe, marking a perfect amalgamation of coffee and vinyl records. The two firms plan to serve customers at this location for about three weeks.

Tapping into Veteran Baristas’ Expertise

Godspeed is the brainchild of veteran baristas, Caughman and Cunningham, who met at Drip Coffee. Sharing an affinity for coffee and a warm relationship, they decided to launch this unique coffee concept that aims to strengthen community ties. The duo opted for a pop-up model for their venture, making it an affordable and dynamic enterprise.

Not Just a Coffee Spot

In essence, Godspeed underscores more than just another coffee shop; it signifies a vibrant community meeting spot for coffee aficionados. With each pop-up, the founders seek to foster community ties and provide an engaging, welcoming ambiance for customers. The coffee spot will continue to pop-up at various retail outlets across the city.
