A new fitness center has secured a lease for a 3,200-square-foot retail space in the Village at Sandhill Marketplace, an upscale shopping center located in northeast Columbia. This addition will increase the diversity of retailers in the commercial hub, Elitetraining.
The center’s prime location at the intersection of Clemson Road and North Springs Road is in an area of high population density with robust demographics according to a news release from property consultants Colliers South Carolina. The new fitness center joins a thriving business environment that includes Lowes Foods, Jersey Mikes, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Sylvan Learning Center, and Bruster’s Ice Cream.
“We are excited to become a part of the Sandhills community and bring the best 50-minute workout to the area,” said Mike Higgins, ISI Training Sandhill owner. “Our athletic-based program is suitable for all fitness levels and promises a supportive and energetic experience every session. We are eager for community members to join us on the turf, helping each other ‘Rise As One.’”
Colliers vice president and director of retail services Rox Pollard III, who brokered the deal, expressed optimism on the new tenant saying, “ISI Training will significantly add to the tenant mix at the center as we continue adding quality occupants that contribute to the center’s status.”
Beyond the shopping center, the area boasts of numerous other retailers including Academy Sports, Belk, JCPenney, The Home Depot, Moe’s, Walgreens, Old Navy, Sam’s Club, Hobby Lobby, and TJ Maxx, all contributing to the area’s vibrant business environment.
Now, with a new fitness center in its premises, the northeast Columbia shopping center is set on a path to cater the growing health-conscious population in the area while supporting the existing retail environment.
