Holiday Cheer is Coming Back to Columbia!
Columbia, South Carolina, is buzzing with excitement as the beloved Fireflies Holiday Lights are set to return to Segra Park this winter! The Columbia Fireflies, our community’s cherished minor league baseball team, has officially announced that tickets will go on sale for this spectacular event on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss out!
This year’s holiday lights display promises to be bigger and brighter than ever. With a range of new lights and attractions lighting up the ballpark, there’s sure to be something for everyone in the family. One of the standout features to look forward to is the brand new VIP experience known as ‘Igloos on the Infield’. Yep, you heard that right! Imagine sitting in a cozy igloo dining amidst dazzling lights—it sounds like a scene straight out of a winter wonderland.
A Unique Dining Experience
Each igloo can accommodate up to six people and comes packed with fun goodies. Guests will enjoy a delightful charcuterie board, along with bottomless hot chocolate and coffee. That’s not all; you’ll also get six bottled waters and a dozen freshly baked cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth. For those who want to sip something a little stronger, there will be options to purchase beer, wine, and canned cocktails, adding a festive cheer to the evening. Access to the igloos runs from 6 to 9 p.m., at a cost of $180 per night, which also includes six general admission tickets. It’s a great way to combine a unique experience with the joy of the holiday season!
“Fireflies Holiday Lights is quickly becoming a holiday tradition for so many across the Midlands with over 30,000 guests joining us last year,” said Team President Brad Shank. “This year, we want to continue to add more fun, more activities, and even more lights. We will continue to show Columbia how much fun they can have in the winter at a ballpark.”
Delicious New Treats Await!
As if that wasn’t enough, the Fireflies are also stepping up their concessions this year! Teaming up with the festive atmosphere will be fresh baked cookies, warm bowls of homemade chili, and comforting chicken noodle soup available for purchase. And don’t forget about the s’mores—they’ll be back again this year, and you can even snag a family four-pack at a discounted price. Mmm, sounds so good, doesn’t it?
Activities for Everyone
But that’s not all, folks! The Fireflies Holiday Lights will feature all your favorite activities from previous years. Kids and families can write their letters to Santa at the Lexington Medical Center Be Well Picnic Pavilion. There’s also a fun scavenger hunt to partake in—just grab your scavenger hunt cards at Dukes Investigations Guest Services. And let’s not forget the joy of crafting in the MUSC Health Conference Room. Families can gather around to roast s’mores at fire pits along the Crescent Patio or take a spin around the concourse on the Thermal Technologies Fireflies Express. The fun never really stops!
