Exciting New Tex-Mex Eatery Surcheros Set to Open in Columbia!

Get ready, Columbia! Your culinary landscape is about to get a little more vibrant with the much-anticipated opening of Surcheros, a popular Tex-Mex restaurant chain. Mark your calendars for December 10, because this is when Surcheros will officially throw open its doors at 4609 Forest Drive, Ste 2, nestled in the bustling Cardinal Crossing Complex.

A New Flavor in Town

Surcheros is stepping into the South Carolina scene with a bang, and franchisee Andrew Powell couldn’t be more excited. After making a career switch from a sales position at Konica Minolta, Powell has found his passion in the world of hospitality. With experience from charming bistros and cafes in St. Simons Island, Georgia, and the trendy town of Asheville, he knows a thing or two about running a successful eatery. Now, he’s ready to bring that know-how to Columbia!

“I am thrilled to bring Surcheros to South Carolina,” Powell said. “Columbia has a dynamic community of families and students, and I look forward to establishing Surcheros as a favorite dining destination.” He added that he hopes to celebrate this milestone with the community soon.

What’s on the Menu?

For those unfamiliar with Surcheros, let’s just say it’s a feast for the senses! The menu is packed with Fresh-Mex favorites like freshly made tacos, grilled burritos, hearty bowls, and mouth-watering quesadillas. Customers can expect to find premium meat and vegetable choices, ensuring there’s something for everyone, including those who enjoy a plant-based lifestyle.

But wait, there’s more—Surcheros is all about customization! The new location will boast an impressive array of toppings—over 25 options to be exact—so diners can truly make their dishes their own. From savory to spicy sauces, there’s going to be plenty of flavors to amp up your meal!

Oh, and did we mention the salsa bar? That’s right! As if all that wasn’t enough, guests will also have access to a salsa bar where they can choose from various salsa options to complement their meal perfectly.

Space to Enjoy

With a spacious area of 3,019 square feet, Surcheros is equipped to cater to all kinds of dining experiences—whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or hanging out with friends and family. The self-service line will allow guests to personalize their food experience, providing a *fun* and interactive atmosphere for everyone involved.

This vibrant new restaurant will also be creating jobs, with an anticipated 75 positions filled to help make the magic happen. That’s fantastic news for the local job market!

Looking Forward

As the first Surcheros to grace South Carolina, this location is not just a restaurant; it’s a community hub aimed at bringing people together over delicious food. Andrew Powell is hoping that Surcheros will become a staple in the Columbia area, catering to families, students, and everyone in between.

So there you have it, folks! With the December 10th grand opening right around the corner, it’s time to gather your friends and family and get excited about the new flavors coming to Columbia. Don’t miss out on what promises to be a flavorful venture in your neighborhood!

Keep your taste buds ready, and we’ll see you at Surcheros!
