Forest Acres is buzzing with excitement as we gear up for the 10th annual Therapalooza, aptly dubbed The Greatest Show in the Southeast! This fantastical event, which benefits our local community’s special needs organizations, will take place on Friday, September 20th, at the Goodman Building in the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. Starting at 7:15 p.m., this night is promised to be full of fun, entertainment, and meaningful contributions for a noble cause.
Attendees can expect a vibrant transformation of the Goodman Building, aptly styled to resemble a lively “Big Top Tent”. Imagine the sights and sounds of a circus right in our neighborhood! There will be live circus entertainment, toe-tapping live music, and even an exclusive VIP pre-party. And let’s not forget about all the delicious food and an open bar to keep the spirits high throughout the night.
To make this 10th anniversary even more special, The Therapy Place is bringing back past Davis Award Winners and many beloved former students and supporters to honor the journey of The Therapy Place over the years. This reunion promises to be a heartwarming highlight, allowing everyone to reminisce about the incredible progress made in helping children with special needs in the Midlands.
The Therapy Place, a non-profit organization, focuses on providing therapeutic and educational services to special needs children and their families. Therapalooza serves not only as a fundraiser but also raises crucial awareness about the programs they provide. As part of the evening’s activities, guests will enjoy both silent and live auctions, offering fantastic items while supporting a great cause.
Also on the agenda is a live program that will spotlight the mission and tremendous work being done by The Therapy Place. Attendees will hear testimonials and see firsthand the impact of the services provided. An exciting announcement about a new project aimed at expanding assistance to even more children in need will also be revealed during the evening.
Now, as we look forward to this fantastic event, let’s not forget to check the weather. Forecasters predict a bit of a wet start to Friday, with some light rain possible in the morning. However, it’s expected to become partly cloudy, with highs reaching around 80°F. The winds will be light and variable, making for a pleasant evening when it’s time to head out for Therapalooza!
For all of you planning to attend, be prepared for rain showers this evening with mostly cloudy skies overnight, cooling down to around 66°F. While there’s a 40% chance of rain later in the night, let’s keep our spirits up, as this dedicated community always shines bright, rain or shine!
If you haven’t secured your spot at this extraordinary event, there’s still time to purchase tickets! You can find all the details you need by heading over to the official Therapalooza website.
We’re all looking forward to a remarkable evening filled with laughter, connection, and, most importantly, a chance to support the remarkable children and families of The Therapy Place. So, rally your friends and family, and let’s make this 10th annual Therapalooza truly unforgettable!
