Hey there, Columbia! It’s shaping up to be a fantastic week filled with lively events and opportunities to enjoy our wonderful community. From special college nights at the State Museum to heartwarming fundraisers, there’s something for everyone!
This Thursday, October 3rd, grab your friends and head over to the South Carolina State Museum for a special College Night! USC students will have the incredible chance to enjoy free general admission, while students from other colleges can take advantage of discounted tickets.
The museum will be brimming with excitement from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. If you’re a fan of the stars or just love a good movie, don’t miss the planetarium laser shows and 4D movies, available for just $3 each. Remember, it’s a first-come, first-served arrangement, so the earlier you arrive, the better!
The much-loved Cayce Fall Fest returns this Saturday, October 5th, promising a day full of fun at Granby Gardens Park from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. This event is completely free and open to everyone!
Bring the family along to enjoy live music, indulge in delicious food, and let the kids have a blast with face painting and visiting the petting zoo. There’s simply no better way to welcome the fall season!
On Friday, October 4th, Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann invites all to the Isabel Law Breast Cancer Breakfast at city hall located on Main Street. Starting at 7:30 a.m. and wrapping up around 9:30 a.m., this heartfelt event aims to raise funds for a cutting-edge 3D mammography imaging unit at Prisma Health Parkridge campus.
Tickets are priced at just $15, and every dollar goes a long way in supporting this vital cause. You can scoop up your tickets at city hall or at the payment center on Harden Street. Let’s show our support and enjoy a great morning together!
If you’re in the mood for some great music, then don’t miss your chance to see R&B legends Tamia and Joe at the Colonial Life Arena this Friday, October 4th. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert kicks off at 8 p.m. You can still snag tickets online!
Get ready to jam to some of Tamia’s biggest hits like “Stranger in My House” and “So Into You”, not to mention Joe’s timeless classics like “I Wanna Know” and “Stutter”. It’s sure to be an unforgettable night!
