First up, mark your calendars for December 7 because it’s time to give back to our four-legged companions! The Stuff the Sleigh event will be held at The Dales Biergarten and Bottle Shoppe, located at 3150 Platt Springs Road, from 4–7 p.m.. Bring your donations, and help Final Victory Animal Rescue bring joy to animals in need this holiday season. Together, we can make a difference!
If you love creativity and art, you’re in for a treat! Alexandra’s Art Studio is offering a range of adult and kids’ classes at 111 Sparkleberry Crossing Road. It’s a wonderful opportunity to express yourself or to gift a loved one a creative adventure this holiday season.
Additionally, the Historic Melrose Art in the Yard will take place on December 8 from 1–5 p.m.. This outdoor festival will cover several city blocks, showcasing local artists and their work. Maps and additional information will be available on social media platforms.
The streets of Columbia will be buzzing with festive spirit! The South Carolina Gingerbread House Competition is just around the corner on December 7, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m., at AIA Columbia on Main Street. Get ready to see edible architectural masterpieces at this deliciously fun competition!
Don’t forget about our seniors! There will be a dedicated health and wellness event on November 21, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., at Dutch Square Mall. Sponsored by multiple local organizations, this event will offer free health screenings and valuable resources to support senior health. It’s a great chance to learn more about wellbeing!
The 37th Annual Columbia Christmas Pageant is set for December 14 and 15 at First Baptist of Columbia. Enjoy delightful performances that encapsulate the magic of the holiday season. And, for jazz lovers, the Carolina Jazz Society is hosting a free Christmas concert on December 1 at Heyward Street United Methodist Church. It’s bound to be a jazzy holiday treat!
Many local clubs are also gearing up for events, including the 5K Run, Walk, and Bike event on November 23 at Riverfront Park, aimed at raising awareness for homelessness. Join in on this rewarding experience!
And don’t forget the little ones! The Columbia Children’s Theatre is putting on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr. from November 22 to 24 at Brookland Cayce High School. It’s the perfect opportunity to introduce kids to the magic of theater!
