Early Voting Underway for Republican Presidential Primary in Lexington County and Irmo

A head start on decision-making

Lexington County and Irmo residents have been given the opportunity to cast their votes ahead of the official primary election day, as early voting for the Republican Presidential Primary is now underway. Started from Monday, February 12, would-be voters can have their say up until Thursday, February 22.

This initiative provides an important platform for those who might find it difficult to make their voices heard on the designated day of the primary election. It offers an additional level of flexibility and convenience which could result in greater voter participation.

Convenience is the key

There are two designated voting locations for the early voters. They can head to the Lexington Voter Registration Office, located at 605 West Main Street, Suite C, in Lexington, SC 29072. Or they can drop-in at the Harbison Campus of Midlands Technical College at 7300 College St., Irmo, SC 29063.

These facilities are available Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., specially keeping in mind the convenience of individuals with various work and personal schedules.

A critical point to keep in mind is that both the early voting centers will be closed on February 18 and 19. However, ensuring voter turnout, both the centers will be open on all other days during the early voting period.

A call for participation
