Revamped Office Building Opens on Devine Street, Enhancing Columbia’s Business Landscape

Hello Columbia! Exciting News Alert!

Today, we’ve got some buzzworthy updates straight from our charming city of Columbia! If you’ve been strolling down the scenic Devine Street lately, you might have noticed a shiny new addition to the streetscape.

Revamped Office Building Now Available!

That’s right! An office building at 2717 Devine Street is back on the leasing market. After undergoing quite the transformation, this inviting space is ready to welcome new tenants. Thanks to a major renovation spearheaded by the team at Cohn Development, this spot now boasts a fresh, modern storefront, complete with stylish canopies that elevate the whole area.

The building stands tall at 6,500 square feet and has transformed into two Class A office tenant suites. Harris Cohn, the enthusiastic CEO of Cohn Corporation, expressed his gratitude for the chance to contribute to this vibrant corridor. He mentioned, “I drive through this corridor of Devine Street on a daily basis and take pride in being able to make an impact on this important streetscape of our community.” It’s great to see local leaders invested in our neighborhoods!

What’s Inside?

Now let’s peek inside! The second floor of this freshly renovated building is now home to Vista Insurance, which has spruced up the office space to include an executive conference room, private offices enhanced with glass partitions for that extra touch of elegance, and even cozy private bathrooms equipped with showers. And wait for it… there’s a private golf simulator nestled in the office as well! Talk about a perfect blend of work and play!

If you’re on the lookout for office space, the first floor, which spans 3,300 square feet, is still up for grabs. The layout here is flexible, allowing it to be subdivided and comes complete with nine private office spaces, a conference room, a break room, and a reception area. Sounds like a dream workspace, right?

A Glimpse into the Building’s History

This isn’t just any office building. Originally constructed back in 1970, it was the headquarters for Resource Financial Services, Inc. Before its makeover, the property was sold in April 2023 for $1.3 million, setting the stage for this delightful renovation. While the exact cost of the renovations remains a mystery, it’s clear they invested a lot of love and effort into revamping this space.

We can’t help but notice that Columbia’s office market has been thriving recently. With many experts noting that our city has outperformed other major cities in the post-COVID-19 landscape, this renovation couldn’t come at a better time. It’s creating attractive opportunities for businesses ready to settle into a vibrant community! If you’re interested in leasing, feel free to reach out to the local team at Trinity Partners for inquiries.

The Future Looks Bright!

As we admire the innovations happening on Devine Street, it’s hard to be anything but optimistic about the future of our city. With more developments popping up and the community taking strides to revitalize and grow, there’s so much to look forward to!

So whether you’re a business owner hunting for the perfect office, or just a Columbia resident enjoying the changes around you, there’s plenty of excitement in the air. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as our city continues to evolve and thrive.
