Columbia, S.C— The city of Columbia gears up for a multitude of vibrantly entertaining local events to energize its citizens and visitors this summer. Offering everything from a spectacular laser light show set to the tunes of popular music icons to a heartwarming pet adoption event, and a celebration day renowned as the “803 Day”—the city brims with excitement and commitment to community.
This awe-inspiring and exciting event aims to cut through the dark July sky with vibrant laser lights on the 19th of July, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the state museum. Glitzy rays of colored lights will fill the night sky accompanied by the chart-topping song tracks from Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga. Luring both Veteran fans and newbies, the Friday night laser light show promises an unforgettable night under the Carolina stars. Members can secure their tickets for $10, while the general public can join the radiant celebration for $12.
Dog lovers, beer enthusiasts and community supporters will be thrilled with the Pups and Pints adoption event set to take place on Saturday at Steel Hands. Designed to join together community, craft brews, and dogs in need of a loving home, this is an event not to miss!
With collaboration from the Columbia Animal Services, the event scheduled from 12 p.m. till 3 p.m. would feature food, beer, and an opportunity to meet adorable pets waiting eagerly for a forever home. Adoption fees for the day will be waived, though prospective pet parents should come prepared with a collar and leash for their new companion.
Further building on the cultural vibrancy of the locale is the inception of “803 Day”, a day devoted entirely to celebrating the unity, pride, and dynamic spirit of Columbia. Billed for Saturday, August 3, the day is slated to be bursting with activities to satiate all types of adventurers.
