Columbia Prepares for the Return of the 43rd St. Pat’s Festival on March 15, 2025

Columbia Gears Up for the 43rd St. Pat’s Festival!

Columbia, SC—Get your green gear ready! The beloved St. Pat’s in Five Points festival is making its grand return on March 15, 2025. This will mark the 43rd anniversary of what many consider South Carolina’s largest one-day festival, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Now, here’s the scoop: General admission tickets for the event go on sale at midnight on Black Friday, November 29. For a limited time, you can snag those tickets for just $15 until 11:59 p.m. on Cyber Monday, December 2. If you’re looking for the perfect gift this holiday season, nothing says fun quite like a ticket to this fantastic festival!

What’s New and Exciting?

The festival is not just about the fun; it’s an annual gathering that pulls the community together. In 2024, the festival welcomed around 32,000 attendees from all walks of life, celebrating the rich culture and vibrant spirit of Columbia. Last year, there were 2,237 participants in the Get to the Green race, representing 14 states! Talk about a roaring good time with friends and family!

So, what makes St. Pat’s in Five Points so special? Executive Director Heather McDonald highlighted the event as “a celebration for all ages that brings together the Midlands community and beyond with music, food, artisans, and a variety of family-friendly attractions, including the Get to the Green race, parade, and Pot ‘O Gold Playland.” That sounds like a pretty fun day to us!

More Than Just Fun

Besides spreading joy and laughter, the festival packs quite an economic punch for the city. It contributes a whopping $12.7 million to the City of Columbia and Richland County. Isn’t it great when a fun event helps support the community? The Five Points Association has also done its best to give back, donating around $1.3 million to local charities over the years. Truly heartwarming!

Ready, Set, Race!

For all you fitness enthusiasts out there, be sure to register for the Get to the Green race, which kicks off at midnight on Black Friday, just like the festival tickets. You can sign up for the special discounted rate of $35 until Cyber Monday. And what do you get for your entry fee? A stylish race T-shirt, a shiny medal, and entry to the festival itself. Perfect for earning that post-race celebratory food and drink!

On top of that, attendees can look forward to live performances from an array of local, regional, and national artists, food trucks lined with tempting treats, and vendors showcasing their handmade goods. There’s something for everyone!

Mark Your Calendars!

Remember, ticket sales begin at midnight on November 29, and supplies are limited. Why wait until spring? Treat yourself and your loved ones to a guaranteed day filled with excitement and memories to last a lifetime. Whether you want to soak in the atmosphere of the parade, enjoy a delicious meal from a food truck, or let the kiddos play in Pot O’ Gold Playland, the St. Pat’s festival has something for everyone.
