Columbia Animal Services is hosting a March Madness Adoption Special until Monday, April 8th, at 127 Humane Lane, aiming to encourage animal adoption.
Art enthusiasts can enjoy various events such as adult and children’s classes at Alexandra’s Art Studio, 111 Sparkleberry Crossing Road, and artist popups organized by the Columbia SC Visitors Center and One Columbia for Arts and Culture. The artist popups run every weekend until July 28th outside the VC at 1120 Lincoln Street. The Historic Melrose Art in the Yard family-friendly event is set for Sunday, May 5, featuring art, food, and live music.
On Saturday, April 6, the Public Works Solid Waste Division is hosting a Compost Giveaway at the City Compost Site, 121 Humane Lane.
The Palmetto Scottish Country Dance events take place every Monday at the Eastminster Presbyterian Community Life Center. For lovers of ballet, classes are held Thursdays at the Columbia Music Festival Association, 914 Pulaski Street. Furthermore, the Ly-Ben Dance Alliance Ubuntu Dance Festival, set for April 20, will be a day filled with masterclasses, community dance classes, and a concert.
