Clarios Announces $16M Expansion Plan in Oconee County, South Carolina

The planned expansion will fill up approximately 9,000 square feet and will incorporate infrastructure enhancements, including state-of-the-art molding and assembly gear to upsurge advanced batteries’ production. This expansion will take place at Clarios’ plant located at 1204 Old Walhalla Highway in West Union.

Based in Glendale, Wisconsin, Clarios is a prominent battery manufacturer and annually produces over 150 million advanced, low-voltage batteries for the mobility industry. The expansion in South Carolina is a critical step towards meeting the evolving market demands with advanced energy, Focusing on the future of transportation.

Clarios President of U.S. and Canada, Gerardo Gonzelez-Aleu, expressed excitement for the expansion in Oconee County. Clarios’ Role in Oconee County

One of the 16 U.S operations, the facility in Oconee County, manufactures component parts for Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries that are pivotal for the new automotive technologies’ usage.
