Chapin Welcomes Aquarius Spa & Salon’s Grand Opening in New Location

Chapin Celebrates New Chapter for Aquarius Spa & Salon

Chapin is buzzing with excitement as the beloved Aquarius Spa & Salon embarks on an exhilarating journey! After nearly two decades in the beauty business, this local gem is officially making a splash with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its shiny new facility at 113 Virginia St. Mark your calendars for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, followed by a delightful holiday open house from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring scrumptious food, refreshing beverages, and lively music!

A Quirky Start

Can you believe it all began in 2005? The founder, Marie Keeton, started the spa in a snug little 1,000-square-foot farmhouse on Chapin’s Columbia Avenue, where many memories were made. Then, for over 17 years, Aquarius became a cherished part of the community when it moved into the historic Robinson-Hiller House, a home that dates back to 1902. That house had charm galore, and it was a warm and welcoming spot for all.

But now, Aquarius is moving just a stone’s throw away! The new location, just off the old site, boasts an impressive 5,300-square-foot space, lovingly constructed by Chapin Commercial Construction. This sparkling new venue not only doubles the number of treatment rooms and salon spaces but also introduces an adorable new head spa and a cozy “serenity” room where you can unwind between pampering sessions!

A Warm Welcome

Marie Keeton shared her vision for the new spa, emphasizing the importance of keeping that charming and inviting vibe that the old Robinson-Hiller House had. “It’s been great,” she said with a smile. “We have the space we need, and I wanted to ensure we maintain that character. The guests are loving the new feel, and that’s what it’s all about.”

What can you expect when you walk into the new Aquarius? Well, for starters, a treasure trove of services awaits you! From hair styling to manicures, massages, and rejuvenating facials, there’s something for everyone. Plus, they’ve teamed up with About Face Aesthetics & Wellness to offer fabulous med spa services like Botox, fillers, weight loss programs, and hormone replacement therapies. Talk about a full menu of options!

Retail Therapy Galore

Walking into the front lobby area is like stepping into a heaven of retail delights. You’ll find a delightful collection of skincare creams, lotions, and cosmetics, along with chic clothing, handbags, and accessories. “Everything we use in treatment rooms or salons, we try to sell in the retail area,” Marie explained. “That way, guests can take home a piece of their experience!”

A Growing Community

The evolution of Aquarius truly reflects the bustling growth of Chapin itself. Back in 1990, this beautiful town was home to only 347 residents. Fast forward to today, and you’ll find nearly 2,000 people living within city limits! It’s wonderful to see how this community has blossomed while retaining that small-town charm that we’ve come to love.

Marie reminisced about how much Chapin has changed since she and her husband first moved there. “I remember when there were no stoplights, just stop signs! It was such a different place, but it still holds onto that quaint, small-town feel.”

Join the Celebration!

The excitement is palpable, and Chad Lindler, President of Chapin Commercial Construction, echoed the positive vibes. “It’s incredibly rewarding to construct a beautiful new building for Aquarius Spa & Salon right in our hometown,” he said. “We’re thrilled to partner with a local business that contributes to Chapin’s growth while keeping that warmth and charm alive.”

If you’re planning to join the festive celebration on December 7th, make sure to RSVP through Aquarius’ Facebook page. Your presence will help kick off this thrilling new chapter in style!
