Cayce’s Holiday Parade of Lights Brings Community Together in Festive Celebration

Cayce’s Holiday Parade of Lights Shines Bright!

Hey there, Cayce! If you were out and about last Saturday evening, then you probably witnessed the charming spectacle of the Annual Holiday Parade of Lights! This beloved event lit up 12th Street, bringing together families and friends to share in the festive spirit.

A Tradition Like No Other

For many residents, the parade is a cherished tradition that they look forward to each year. Just ask David Cannon, a West Columbia local, who should be a poster child for family enthusiasm. He shared, “Our family comes out to watch every year, all 16 of us! It really is something we look forward to each year because we love watching it together.” It couldn’t be truer – there’s something magical about watching the floats twinkle against the night sky, isn’t there?

Floats Galore!

With over 100 beautifully decorated floats participating this year, the scene was nothing short of dazzling! As they wound their way down the street, families gathered, some perched on lawn chairs with warm doughnuts from Krispy Kreme in their hands while others savored delightful treats from Zesto. And let’s be real, could there be a better pairing than a sweet snack and a festive parade?

Community at Its Best

But the parade wasn’t just about floats and fancy lights – it was the grand finale of a whole day of community celebration. Locals were treated to a convenient holiday shuttle that zipped between Cayce and West Columbia, making sure everyone had a chance to shop and dine at the wonderful local spots. Nothing says holiday cheer like supporting your local businesses, right?

Weather Watch

While the evening began with cloudy skies, those clouds parted partially to reveal a lovely night perfect for celebrating. The temperature climbed up to a pleasant 64°F, and with light winds, it felt delightful outside. If you were thinking of attending, it was a great night to bundle up or grab a cozy sweater and enjoy the atmosphere!

As the evening progressed, the skies drifted back to partly cloudy, but the *real* story was the cheerful fog that rolled in later at a mild low of 49°F. Fog and festivities? A charming combo, indeed!

What’s Next for Cayce?

As the parade wrapped up, many were left dreaming of the next year’s festivities and hoping for even more incredible floats. With the turnout looking strong, it’s safe to say that the Holiday Parade of Lights is likely to keep this fun tradition alive for years to come!

Feeling inspired to check it out for next year? Don’t forget to plan your route, gather your friends and family, and make it a date! After all, nothing brings a community together quite like an event that celebrates joy, life, and a little bit of sparkle.

To all who attended, thank you for supporting this wonderful local tradition! Here’s to keeping the spirit of the holidays alive and continuing to gather each year to celebrate as one big happy family!
