Bluffton to Welcome Side Hustle Brewing’s New Taproom

Side Hustle Brewing Co., a thriving part of the Hilton Head Island (HHI) beer scene, has announced its expansion to Bluffton. The brewery is set to open a brand-new taproom at 10 Buck Island Road, ushering its award-winning craft beers onto the mainland.

About the New Taproom

The new Side Hustle Brewing taproom will operate between Tuesday and Sunday, with a variety of operating hours. From Tuesday to Friday, the taproom will be open from 3 pm to 9 pm. Saturdays will see extended hours from 12 pm to 9 pm, and Sundays from 12 pm to 6 pm. The taproom will feature 10 of Side Hustle Brewing’s craft beers on tap, as well as 4-packs of their core Fixed Assets and seasonal Variable Assets available to go.

Location and Amenities

The new taproom is located in the former Island Packet newspaper building, near Side Hustle’s larger brewery operation. While the brewery may open for tours in the future, for now, beer enthusiasts can enjoy the indoor bar equipped with flat-screen televisions or relax in the outdoor seating area. The venue will also host food trucks during the weekends, offering a culinary accompaniment to their wide selection of beers.

Side Hustle Brewing’s Story

Conceived in the garage of Co-founder Lee Holyoak, Side Hustle Brewing Co. sprouted from a casual hobby into a full-fledged business. The name “Side Hustle” is a fitting tribute to Holyoak’s tireless work ethic, balancing his passion for brewing with his main career. Side Hustle Brewing continues its tradition of intertwining traditional brewing techniques with innovative flavors, separating them from the crowd.

Awards and Recognition

In just a short time, Side Hustle Brewing has accrued significant acknowledgment within the brewing community. The brewery boasts several distinctions, including the 2023 Bronze for Make It Rain in the Juicy/Hazy IPA category and a Silver for South Island Pilsner at the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championships.

Maintaining a Presence in Hilton Head

Despite their expansion to Bluffton, Side Hustle Brewing Co. is not leaving Hilton Head. They will continue to serve their customers at their primary location at The Bank, Hilton Head’s local beer garden.

With this progressive step, Side Hustle Brewing is poised to further their stake in the local craft beer industry, offering their unique brand of quality brews to the burgeoning beer community in Bluffton.
